Welcome to Waterpenny Farm

We are glad you are here. Please browse our site to find out more about us, our growing methods, and what is happening on the farm.

For a weekly box of vegetables from the farm, consider buying a share in Waterpenny Farm CSA (Community Supported Agriculture). Each year we offer 19 weeks of vegetables from early June through early October. We have Wednesday delivery sites in Warrenton, Arlington and in Lorton, and Thursday pickup at the farm in Rappahannock county.  If you are interested in our CSA program, please click here for more information. Our CSA is full for the 2014 CSA season.  We start registration for new shareholders in early March; email to be added to our wait list.

If you would like to find out more about working on the farm, please visit our internship page.  We have filled all of our positions for the 2014 growing season.

Check out our harvest schedule to see a basic outline of what we grow and when it is available.

Fall produce is here! Greens and Winter Squash abound.

Our Winter squash harvest is tremendous this season, with excellent pumpkins (both carving and Pie), as well as beautiful sweet peppers, salad greens like lettuce, arugula,  and mizuna, Kale, chard, and collards.  We also have great garlic and herbs, turnips and radishes.  The late harvested summer crops-- including tasty tomatoes-- are tapering but still available until the frost.

We are open on the farm Thursday, Friday, and Saturday afternoons for vegetable, egg, and and flower sales.

We'll have a full selection at our Farmer's Markets in Warrenton, Arlington, and Takoma Park until Thanksgiving week

Flowers available for special events!

We are having a great harvest of zinnias, sunflowers, ageratum, lemon and cinnamon basils, celosia, and others for bright flower bunches.  Order flowers to pick up on the farm or at market for your special events.  We offer bunches and flowers by the stem.  Everything is picked into a floral solution for maximum freshness, and if properly cared for, they'll last for a week or more.

Meet us at the Market!
